SAP / CDL Assessments
Court-recognized and DOT-required substance use assessments and education — including DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations for commercial drivers and North Carolina DWI assessments.
Project Momentum is a licensed mental health and substance use provider through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. We maintain the highest confidentiality standards for every participant.
DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations for CDL drivers
Commercial drivers with a CDL are regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Following a positive or refused drug or alcohol test, a CDL holder must complete the DOT return-to-duty process before returning to any safety-sensitive duty. Project Momentum provides the SAP evaluation that begins this process, followed by a recommendation for the appropriate education and/or treatment, the return-to-duty testing plan, and any required follow-up testing schedule.
DWI substance use assessments
In North Carolina, anyone convicted of a DWI must complete a substance use assessment. Project Momentum conducts these state-required assessments in person at our Rocky Mount office or virtually in about one hour. Out-of-state DWI reviews are also available. The assessment determines the recommended education and/or treatment path.
